Redundancy support

Support to help if you're made redundant

Redundancy is a stressful event in your life and it’s important to find practical support to help you cope if you’re made redundant. Having a plan in place can help to ease the stress and give you a more positive focus.

Plan ahead

You might need your redundancy payment to last for a while. And you could be asked to show how you've been spending your money if you make a claim for benefits.

Try creating a budget to make your money last - you can use our free online budgeting tool to get started.

Find out what you're entitled to

It's important you get the support you're entitled to - use our free online benefits calculator to check what you could claim.

If you're claiming Universal Credit for the first time, the Citizens Advice free Help to Claim service could also support you with the application process.

Update your CV

Spend time making sure your CV is up to date, and adapt your application for each role so it's clear how you meet the job description.

If you're asked for a cover letter, make sure you include the reasons why you're applying, how you meet the role requirements and any experience you have.

Remember, there's lots of handy job search websites you can use and online platforms like LinkedIn can help you build your professional network too.

We also have apprenticeships and job vacancies here at Home Group.
