Wellbeing and physical recovery groups
We're committed to supporting customers to improve their health and wellbeing.
Our health, wellbeing and recovery models support customers to manage their mental health better and devise their journey of recovery. The model includes:
Physical health service
Our physical health service is a preventative service that tackles health inequalities and parity of esteem. We provide support through physical activity within local communities to improve customer’s health management using a recovery approach alongside a trainer.
Recovery based support
Our recovery sessions are broad in their nature and may be delivered on a one to one basis or within a group setting. The activities offered may include:
- Coffee mornings
- Wellbeing walks
- Art classes
- Wellbeing education, and more
The activities included are tailored to the customers' interests to build their self-esteem and prevent social isolation. We also offer peer led groups which our customers and volunteers manage.
Our volunteer service consists of Opportunities and Befriending and Peer Support. This service also offers a range of volunteering opportunities that can lead to apprenticeships and employment.
The supported volunteers' service supports customers who improve their mental health and wellbeing and want to use volunteering to aid their recovery further while offering peer support to others.
The service offers volunteering opportunities to the general public to work within our services and network with other agencies and projects. The hours and roles available may vary.
Befriending and peer support:
This service is for customers with enduring mental health issues who want to befriend other customers to increase opportunities for social inclusion in their local communities and aid cognitive wellbeing management. Additionally, our personalised budget service offers bespoke and tailored support packages.
