Scotland customer ‘On Board’ training

Aimee Cavener

Written by Aimee Cavener, marketing adviser

Are you interested in being a Home Scotland Customer Board member?

Or maybe you would you like to play a bigger role in your community, as a trustee of a local charity, or governor at a local school? You might even just like to gain a better understanding of Home Scotland to support you in your involvement roles.

We can help develop some key skills with our ‘On Board’ training programme. This starts next month with a focus on Scotland.

Being a board member or a trustee can be hugely rewarding. Graduates from our February 2023 training programme said:

Eight smiling customers sitting and standing outside

I learnt a lot about looking at the big picture and that it wasn't so intimidating after all… I felt inspired... the contents and sessions were exactly right.

Online training dates

The training will be delivered over two online sessions:

  • Thursday 9 November 11.30 am until 1.00 pm
  • Wednesday 15 November 10.30 am until 12.00 pm

There is also a face-to-face session on Thursday 7 December, in Dundee as part of a Scotland viewpoint meeting.

We will also run online catch up and refresher sessions if these dates don’t work for you.

We will cover out-of-pocket expenses in line with our involvement expenses guidelines.
