Home Group announces new repairs partnership to improve service

Matt Roberts, PR and media advisor
Housing association Home Group has announced a new repairs partnership to improve services for customers in the South West.
Home Group has agreed a deal with Westcountry Maintenance Services (WMS) who will carry out responsive repairs in customers’ homes, as well as supporting Home Group with work on empty homes to bring them back into use more quickly.
The majority of homes which Home Group operates in the South West are supported housing, providing homes to customers with additional support needs such as learning disabilities or with their mental health.
As such, any prolonged disruption to a customer’s home can be particularly distressing and Home Group is looking to improve the efficiency of its repairs in the region through this new partnership.
The new partnership came into effect in November 2025.
David Cutting, Director of Maintenance Futures - Design and Performance at Home Group: “We are delighted to have agreed this new partnership with WMS in the South West.
“A safe, well-maintained home is at the heart of everything we do, and this partnership will help us respond more quickly and effectively to our customers’ needs.
“With the majority of our homes in this region being supported housing, helping to support some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, it was even more important we got this partnership right.”
Michael Sussex, Managing Director at WMS added: “We are really pleased to be working alongside HG to support residents across the Southwest.
“At WMS, we take pride in delivering reliable, high-quality maintenance and repairs, and this partnership gives us the opportunity to make a positive difference to even more people’s homes and communities.
