Home Group has been placed in the top ten for the second year running for its wellbeing support for staff.

The 55,000 home organisation was the only housing association placed in the top 40 in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing 2023, part of the Great Places to Work survey.

It’s the second year running the social enterprise has been placed in the top ten of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing.

Home Group’s wellbeing support includes a digital wellbeing hub, peer support networks, help through menopause, pregnancy loss and stress, and much more.

Susan Fulton, Director of People at Home Group, said: “To achieve a top ten position for Wellbeing for another year is a great achievement and one we are very proud of as a business. But, our work is far from complete. We remain committed to improving year-on-year and now we must look at ways to be even better, creative, and compassionate to ensure we support colleagues, especially in this extremely challenging environment.

“Knowing that our colleagues have a company which is supporting their wellbeing and ensuring they are in their best health means that we can be confident that they can continue to pass on that level of care and quality service to our customers.”

Having just moved into their new head office on Strawberry Lane, Home Group colleagues are already seeing some of those commitments to further fostering positive wellbeing throughout its staff.

As well as being the North East’s highest-ranking representative on the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing list, Home Group is also only housing association in the top 40.

The Best Workplaces awards were created by Great Place to Work and aim to help businesses create high performing workplaces where employees feel valued and trusted. The awards recognise the best super large, large, medium, and small workplaces in the UK.
