Housing association named among top workplaces for women

Home Group placed 8^th in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women, as part of the 2025 Great Places to Work survey.

It is the sixth consecutive year Home Group have been inside the top 10 for this category, and an improvement on their 9^th place score last year.

Home Group has been included in the top 10 places of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women each year since the category began in 2019.

Vicki Carruthers, Director of People at Home Group said: “We are very proud to have been named among the top ten workplaces for women once again, and to have improved on our success last year.

“We know how important it is to support women in the workforce, and the benefits it brings our business and our customers.

“With such a broad variety of roles across the housing sector, we put a lot of work into finding the solutions that work for women not only generally across our business, but also specifically to the teams in which they work.

“Knowing this accolade comes directly from honest feedback from staff makes it even more important. But we also know it doesn’t signal the end of the work. We must continue looking for new ways to improve, listen and learn from our colleagues if we want to maintain our top 10 position in the future.”

The Best Workplace awards were created by Great Places to Work, with the aim to help businesses create high performing workplaces where employees feel valued and trusted.

The award recognises the best super large, large, medium, and small workplaces in the UK.

Home Group were the highest placed housing association across all of the categories, as well as one of the best performing organisations to have a head office in the North East of England.
