Demolition has begun on Phase two of the DBP Estate regeneration in Colindale, marking a major milestone for leading housing provider Home Group and joint venture partner, award-winning housebuilder The Hill Group.

Representatives from both organisations recently gathered on site to mark the start of works on phase two, which begins with the demolition of existing residential units to make way for 387 high-quality new homes.

Phase two is expected to complete in 2029.

The wider three-phase regeneration will deliver a total of 753 new homes, once complete, comprising 272 affordable homes and 481 private sale homes.

This will include a range of houses, maisonettes and apartments, designed to meet the diverse needs of the local community.

The development will also feature a residents’ gym, basement car parking and communal terraces, and has been thoughtfully designed to enhance biodiversity and create greener, healthier spaces for residents.

Will Gardner, Executive Director of Development & Investments at Home Group, said: “Starting Phase two at DBP Estate is an important step forward in transforming the neighbourhood.

"Working in partnership with Hill, we are committed to delivering much-needed affordable and private homes while investing in the long-term future of the community.”

Cain Peters, Managing Director of Development at The Hill Group, said: “This regeneration is a fantastic example of true partnership working. Together with Home Group, we share a clear vision to deliver high-quality, sustainable homes that meet local needs and create a thriving, inclusive community for generations to come.

"Reaching Phase two is a significant achievement and reflects the dedication and collaboration of everyone involved.”

Hill and Home Group are committed to working closely with the community throughout the 10-year development programme, delivering social value through training initiatives, employment opportunities and long-term community investment.
