Vulnerability Week 2026: Improving how we support customers

Hannah Hanson, senior marketing executive
From 8th to 12th June 2026, we are proud to be taking part in Collaboration Network’s Vulnerability Week 2026, a national initiative focused on improving how organisations identify, understand, and support vulnerable people.
We know vulnerability can affect anyone, at any time. Around 53% of adults in the UK are considered vulnerable at some point in their lives, often due to circumstances such as poor physical or mental health, financial pressures, low emotional resilience or major life events. Which is why creating services that are understanding, responsive and person-centred is so important.
Improving how we handle vulnerable data
Head of data, Nathan Bent, discusses the importance of recording vulnerable customer data at Home Group and the improvements we want to make going forward. The video explores why accurate, sensitive, and consistent recording of vulnerability information matters, not only to improve customer experiences, but also to help colleagues better understand needs, reduce the need for customers to repeat themselves and ensure the right support is available at the right time.
We know there is more we can do, and Vulnerability Week allows us to reflect, learn and continue improving how we handle vulnerable data across our services.
