Maintaining and improving our customers’ homes is by far one of our biggest priorities.

Within our Customer Promise – our commitment to customers to deliver in the areas that matters most – is the promise to provide a safe place to live.

That is why over the past five years we have increased how much we spend maintaining and improving our homes by 60%.

In 2021, for example, we spent £90m on maintaining our customers’ homes. This year we plan to spend over £150m.

But that’s not the sum total of our annual investment. We invest millions more making our customers’ homes fit for purpose in other ways - such as making them as energy efficient and cost effective as possible.  

Only this week we announced that we will be investing £40m to retrofit 3,500 of our customers’ homes. The Government has given us an additional £28m through the Warm Homes Fund to do that.

Every opportunity we get that will help improve our customers’ homes we we’ll take it.
