The original proposal for the regeneration of Concorde Close was refused at planning committee in January 2019. Following the refusal, Home Group sought advice from a range of stakeholders and experts on how to proceed and decided not to appeal the refusal. Home Group undertook a full review of the refused scheme and also revisiting options for the estate. These options included:
Option 1 - Ongoing Maintenance
Option 2 - Refurbishment
Option 3 - Part Refurbishment / Part Redevelopment
Option 4 - Full Redevelopment Scheme
Following this review and publication of our findings, after consultation in February 2020 with Concorde Close customers and the surrounding neighbours and reviewing their feedback, Home Group decided to pursue Option 4 - Full Redevelopment Scheme.
