The Housing Ombudsman Service is set up by law to look at complaints about housing organisations that are registered with it. The Housing Ombudsman Service has recently published a new Complaints Handling Code which provides good practice for all landlords on fair and effective complaints handling. Home Group have produced a self-assessment against this new Complaints Handling Code and we have published this self-assessment below.
To improve lessons learnt from complaints, the Housing Ombudsman Service now publishes their decisions on all cases they have reviewed from member landlords, including Home Group. You can view these decisions on the Housing Ombudsman’s website.
