Home Group, one of the UK’s largest providers of affordable housing, has announced the appointment of a new Board member.

Lady Rhona Bradley has joined the Board bringing considerable experience and expertise in health, criminal justice and substance misuse services, performance and change management, partnership working and strategic planning to the position.

Bob Davies, Home Group chairman, said: “I am delighted to welcome Rhona to the Board. With her extensive experience and outstanding work in public services, she will play a key part in ensuring the governance of Home Group continues to be of the highest calibre.”

Lady Bradley is currently chief executive of Addiction Dependency Solutions (ADS), a leading UK drug and alcohol charity operating throughout the North and the Midlands.

She has more than 25 years’ experience in the Criminal Justice System with the National Probation Service in Greater Manchester and Cheshire and led the establishment of multi-agency youth offending services in Halton and Warrington Borough Councils.

Before joining ADS in July 2006, Lady Bradley worked for what is now the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a service inspector, conducting statutory inspections of Youth Offending Teams and Local Authority Children’s Services. She is also a non-executive director of Central Manchester University Hospitals Foundation Trust and was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater Manchester in 2010.
