Home Group's partnership with Lancashire Care Foundation Trust shortlisted in the HSJ Awards 2018

Home View, a partnership between Home Group and Lancashire Care Foundation Trust has been shortlisted for best clinical support service in the 2018 HSJ Awards.

Situated in Blackpool, the step down service provides accommodation for those who no longer need to be treated in hospital but need extra support before being ready to return home.

Rachael Byrne, Executive Director of New Models of Care at Home Group, said: “We’re delighted that we’ve been recognised as a strategic partner with the NHS, for our Home View service. 


“Patients are often ready for discharge from hospital, but not quite ready to go home, and this service helps to bridge that gap. 

“Our work with the Lancashire Care Foundation Trust has responded to current needs in healthcare, and provided an invaluable service in helping patients rehabilitate.”

Steve Lewis, the North Lancashire Service Manager for Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, said:

“We are delighted to have been shortlisted in the brand new HSJ Partnership Awards for Best Clinical Support Service. Our number one priority is to ensure that our service users are cared for in the most appropriate environment and by working with Home Group we are ensuring that the people have a safe place to go when they are discharged from hospital.

“Home View is a unique service which is proving to be a great success in supporting people at supporting people in the area. We are really pleased and proud that this development has been recognised at national level!”

Later this month, Rachael Byrne and a colleague from the service will present to a judging panel, ahead of the award winners’ announcement in March 2018.
