Home Group appoints new repair partners

Home Group has appointed two new repair partners to oversee a multi-million pound repairs and maintenance contract in their Central North and South West regions.

The affordable housing provider has selected J Tomlinson to operate in their Central North region for a two year period and Novus to conduct customer housing repairs in the South West. The new partners will begin their contracts taking over from Mears from 1st June and 15th June respectively.  

Margarita Morrison, Director of Maintenance, Customer Services at Home Group, said:  

“We’re really looking forward to starting our new partnership with J Tomlinson and Novus in these two regions. These new appointments form part of our commitment to continuously improving our quality of service to our customers.
“Our mission is to ensure a smooth transition from one provider to the other, with minimal disruption. We’re grateful to Mears for the work they’ve done to date and will continue to work with them in other regions.” 
During the transition phase Home Group will be prioritising emergency repairs. All non-emergency repairs will be logged, and the contractor will be in touch within 28 days to make an appointment. Customers will receive regular updates via text message on the status of their repair and maintenance request.
