Home Group appoints new Chair for Scotland board

Home Group, one of the UK’s largest providers of new homes for sale and affordable rent and a national provider of integrated housing, health and care, is appointing Myriam Madden as Chair of Home Group’s Scotland Board.

Ms Madden, who has 30 years of experience working in accounting and finance for organisations across the globe, will take the helm in Scotland to support Home Group move forward with plans to build 1,000 homes. She will also focus on customer relations, working to provide the highest quality service to customers in Dumfries and Galloway, Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh and supporting Home Group’s growth in Scotland.      

Boasting an impressive CV, Ms Madden has held a number of senior executive roles across the public and private sectors, specialising in business transformation and finance. She is a Board member of the international standards-setting body for ethics, IESBA, and a non-executive member of the Audit and Risk Assurance committee of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. She previously served as the Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Board member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, both global accounting bodies.

This appointment follows the completion of Ray Macfarlane’s five year term as Chair which ended in May 2018. Ms Madden’s role as Chair will commence following Home Group’s Annual General Meeting on 28th August 2018.
