Home Group opens its doors to more apprentices

June 17th, 2016 by Home Group Editor in Features

Apprenticeships – whatever your age – are an excellent route to get started in the job market, giving you valuable hands-on experience as well as earning while learning.

At Home Group we value our apprentices and to prove how much we believe they inspire our future, we’re recruiting over 60 apprentices this year.

What’s even better is that all our apprentices are customers and clients and are employed on programmes from Penzance to Dundee and many places in between.

So all in all, this means there’s going to be loads of opportunities going to the people who Home Group exists to support. And – importantly - the number of apprentices that have achieved great things at the end of their apprenticeship has also seen a big increase, with 80% of completers moving into longer term employment.

There’s no age restrictions for our apprenticeships (our youngest current apprentice is 16 and our oldest apprentice is 62!).  All we ask is that you are a customer or client who is keen, willing to learn and motivated to do their best.

Our apprenticeships:

  • Are open to all customers and client of any age (as long as you are over 16)
  • Pay above the national average
  • Provide on the job training and a recognised qualification
  • Offer opportunities for progression for the right candidate
  • For the majority of roles there are no formal entry qualification requirement

So whether you are at the beginning of your career, looking for a change in direction or trying to get back into a work after a period out, we are keen to hear from you.
