Ever wonder what it’s really like to be a support worker?

If we were to say the words funfairs, beauty salons and interior design would you have ever associated these activities with this line of work? If it’s an area that’s new to you, possibly not. But the thing is, with support work every day is different because every client is different. And our support workers always base their work around people’s individual needs, goals and interests.

Our colleague, Gail Nicholson, a support worker based in Hull (the wonderful City of Culture 2017) wrote for the I Newspaper on why being a support worker is a privilege, not a chore. She also shares some heartfelt stories about her ongoing work with Sarah.
