Recognising customers for their great work

Jamie was extremely proud when he was nominated for an award in 2016

His experience of low mental health and addiction has helped him support those using our wellbeing service. He was recognised for this and won a 2016 award.

It was a great accolade for Jamie who has come on a long journey. “I wanted to make positive strides and lead a whole life,” he says.

Nominating someone is great recognition for the achievements they’ve made and also recognises some truly inspirational people who go above and beyond to help others in their community.

Since winning his award Jamie has started an apprenticeship with the wellbeing and recovery team after completing a work ready course and placement through Inspiring Futures.

His colleagues said: “He is keen and committed in his new role, seizing opportunities to learn and gain experience with both hands as he continues to bring aspiration and change to his life and the lives of others.”

Jamie said: “When I found out I had been nominated for this award I felt enormously proud and thankful to Home Group for noticing the great work that so many customers are doing when given the right chances and opportunities.”
