Reducing Condensation

House drawn in condensation

We've all seen condensation in our homes, but sometimes it can become a problem.

Some simple tips can help stop the dreaded mould such as having heating on longer but on lower settings to avoid hot and cold spikes in temperature, opening a window or using extractor fans with cooking or bathing, ventilate bedrooms in the morning to let overnight moisture escape, keeping pan lids on when cooking to reduce steam in the kitchen.

If you can, dry washing outside as long as you can. Did you know that drying clothes inside can produce up to a pint of moisture – a cause of condensation that can lead to mould problems.
