We’ve worked with you to come up with our Home investment standard.

Below is a guide to what our improvements may include. 

Your local maintenance team will be in contact when there are any planned upgrades due to your property. For any specific queries relating to an individual property, contact our customer service centre and the local maintenance team will be able to help.


  • Bathroom

    • The replacement of your existing bathroom which can include;

      •    upgrading existing electrical installation
      •    an over bath shower
      •    a curtain and rail
      •    new plumbing
      •    a new bath, wash hand basin, WC and taps
      •    tiling/wall board
      •    vinyl flooring and decoration
  • Bolier / heating

    • The extent of installation depends on fuel source, existing arrangements, existing condition and the extent of works required. It can include:

      •    replacement boiler
      •    new pipework (if required)
      •    flue works
      •    controls/timers
      •    radiators
      •    electrical works
      •    electric (secondary heater).

      If electric heating:

      •    storage heaters
      •    panel heaters
      •    immersion
      •    fans and associated electrical work
  • Electrics

    • This includes testing and upgrade (where necessary) of:

      •    isolation switch
      •    distribution board
      •    upgrading earth and bonding
      •    replacement of defective fittings
      •    smoke detectors, heat detectors, carbon monoxide detectors (all where applicable)
      •    system testing
      •    security lighting (where applicable)
  • Kitchen

    • This includes:

      •    removal of existing kitchen and installation of new base and wall units
      •    a wide range of worktops and handles
      •    tiling/wall board
      •    vinyl floor covering
      •    decoration
      •    upgrading existing electrical installation
      •    new plumbing
      •    gas service (as appropriate)
      •    sink and taps
  • Roof

    • It it's a pitched roof – battens, felt, tiles, lead, fixings, soffits, fascia, rain water goods, roof covering (slate, tiles etc), chimney repairs, insulation, additional support (where applicable).

      For a flat roof – fascia, soffits, rain water goods, lead flashings, decking and renewal, chimney repairs, thermal insulation.

  • Walls

    • •    Can include re-rendering, repointing and repairs to wall ties depending on requirements
      •    Chimney re-pointing or re-rendering
  • Windows and doors

    • Replace or repair uPVC, composite or timber double glazed units.
