Home Scotland charges all owners a management fee for carrying out its function of providing its core services.

The fees are either set at 15% (subject to a minimum charge of £5) or £125 per annum.


Owners who reside in houses, or 4 in a block, will be charged the 15% management fee. Those owners who reside within flatted properties will be charged the £125 per annum management fee.

Details of services included within our management fee are detailed below:


  • Service set up and on-going administration; 
  • Title research and preparation of any grounds maintenance plans;
  • Calculating shares due by owners;
  • Obtaining and maintaining software to coordinate the provision of the service;
  • Communication with and between owners and external agencies/providers;
  • Maintaining accurate property repairs records;
  • Issuing annual/quarterly invoices in advance;
  • Recording payments made and received and recovering charges in relation to each owner;
  • Apportioning charges on sale and correspondence with solicitors.
In addition, the fees charges also cover the following administrative tasks in relation to repairs, maintenance and improvements:


  • Taking details of repairs; 
  • Instructing contractors to carry out work;
  • Consulting owners in respect of repairs costs in excess of £300 or more per owners;
  • Tendering and obtaining estimates;
  • Discussions and correspondence with owners regarding repairs;
  • Overseeing repairs and ensuring works are carried out satisfactorily;
  • Overseeing and organising major repair works.

Home Scotland will review all fees annually and should we need to increase these, all owners will be advised no later than 28th February each year, with the increase taking effect from 1st April that year.
