Our regulatory framework

There are three main bodies that Home Group is regulated by.

Regulator of Social Housing (England)

We are regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH)

The RSH is a government body and it sets specific standards all registered providers have to meet.

Standards cover how the business is run, how we manage risk, and how we maintain financial viability and ensure value for money alongside the services we provide directly to customers.

Home Group is currently rated at Governance 1 Viability 1 which is the highest rating.

Scottish Housing Regulator

In Scotland, we are also regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR).

The SHR is an independent regulator and sets standards around the same themes as the RSH through the Scottish Housing Charter and the Scottish Regulatory Framework.

Our latest performance information can be found using the link to the Scottish Housing Regulator above.

The Care Quality Commission

Home Group has eight services that are regulated by the

Care Quality Commission (CQC).

These services are registered to provide specific regulated activity such as personal care and accommodation for persons who require nursing, personal care or treatment for substance misuse.

For information on Home Group’s CQC services performance you can see the latest inspection reports here.

Scottish Charity Regulator

In Scotland we’re regulated by OSCR, Scottish Charity Regulator.
