About Concorde Close

Home Group wholly owns Concorde Close in Hounslow which has 43 affordable rented homes. Built in approximately 1977, Concorde Close comprises of three blocks which include three bedsits, twenty six flats and fourteen masionettes as well as two blocks of garages. The blocks are three storeys high and with the exception of the bedsits are all two bedroom properties.

There are issues at Concorde Close that cannot be addressed with ongoing maintenance. A dated design and outdated building techniques cause significant difficulties for the buildings as a whole and more importantly are reducing our customers’ enjoyment of their homes. Alleyways between properties, lack of overlooking and open doorways have resulted in fly-tipping, anti-social behaviour and rough sleeping.

The quality of flats and homes on the estate has decreased significantly in recent years and the estate currently requires major investment to tackle its poor thermal performance. As a result, regeneration is a way to dramatically reduce fuel poverty while also improving health and wellbeing.

The estate is very close to excellent transport links which include a two minute walk to the underground Hounslow Central Station, rail links and approximately 40 minutes into central London.

The regeneration of Concorde Close will provide an opportunity to create a more mixed and balanced community, in addition to addressing broader housing needs within Hounslow.
