  • Place – we put our heart into making each house a home that our customers’ will love.  From well-planned spaces to contemporary architecture, we design homes that are for living with a wide variety of choice.
  • Development – we create exceptional places for people to live.  We secure new land to grow our portfolio, investing in locations that benefit local communities, meet our customers’ expectations and drive future growth.   
  • Delivery - building high quality mixed tenures homes.  We carefully manage projects to retain design quality, delivering homes on time and to budget.  We work collaboratively with contractors, local authorities and developers to drive and deliver the highest quality of housing.  
  • Sales and Marketing – we are with our customers every step of the way from initial enquiries to handover.  Everyone is unique, so we help our customers put their own stamp on their home, ensuring they always have a brilliant home buying experience.  
  • Bids and Partnerships – we look beyond boundaries to create partnerships to secure development and regeneration opportunities.   Working with contractors, house builders and local authorities enable us to deliver brilliant communities through combined experience and shared resources.  
  • Regeneration – ensuring our assets are fit for purpose.  We generate value for money through sustainability of our stock and planned investment.   Regeneration for us is not just bricks and mortar.  It’s about jobs, better transport, improved health and wellbeing, inclusive and sustainable communities.
  • Propco – we provide better properties, better services and long term solutions.  Working with our New Models of Care team, we design and build high quality new accommodation or refurbish and convert existing properties to meet the specialist needs of customers in our supported accommodation.


A day in the life of a Development Graduate

Emma Quintal and Saskia Rose – Graduate Assistant Development Managers

We start at the very beginning, looking at potential land for development, considering the advantages and constraints of a site and its local area before deciding whether we should build there.

We look at costs and revenues through financial development appraisals to ensure the project stacks up.  Developing attractive schemes with our Design team and taking this through to planning submission, we then handover to our Delivery colleagues to manage on-site construction.  Exciting things we are working on at moment include a community well-being Garden Village in County Durham and a contemporary apartment complex for flexi-rent in central Leeds.  

For us, Home Group really is a great place to work.  Not only do we have a clear structured programme that we can benchmark ourselves against to make sure we’re heading in the right direction.  We get lots of support to develop our skills and progress our career.  It’s a caring, fun and friendly place to work and we have lots of laughs along the way!

  • Senior Architect

    • Our Architects and Design Advisors help us to create exceptional and award winning house types through quality of design and ensuring each site is developed to its maximum potential.   From well-planned spaces to contemporary architecture, they transform and shape the way our customers and communities live.  If you have a creative spark and are brilliant at designing innovative new homes, then this could be the job for you.

  • Development Manager

    • Our Development Manager’s identify and win new development opportunities to grow new business within our regions.  From sourcing land using different models of delivery, they establish partnerships, joint ventures and develop each site to its maximum potential.  If you’re brilliant at winning new business and identifying mixed tenure opportunities to deliver new affordable and private sale homes, then this could be the job for you. 

      There’s lots of opportunities to lead projects across our portfolio from large-scale mixed-use developments in towns and cities to smaller residential schemes in rural areas.  From identification up to concept design stage, planning submission and the completion of legal agreements.  You’ll work collaboratively to ensure an effective handover to delivery colleagues.

  • Sales Executive

    • Our Sales Executive’s, manage the sale of our new build homes from legal set up right through to handover of keys to our customers’ new home.  From progressing all leads, carrying out viewings, securing sales and supporting customers’ right through to sales completion.  If you’re brilliant at maximising sales, smashing targets, and building great relationships with customers, then this could be the job for you. 

      There are lots of opportunities to work across our different sites including our new sales brand Persona.  You’ll be selling homes, styled the way your customers want to live, knowing that they are in your safe hands to make their dream home a reality!

  • Aftercare Coordinator

    • Our Aftercare Coordinator’s ensure a seamless service for our customers following the purchase of their new home. Our passion for helping our customers doesn’t stop after we hand over the keys!

      From checking on progress of completion of any defects and snags with contracting partners, they support our team as sites approach completion to ensure smooth handover to our customers.   If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion to provide the highest standards of customer care, then this could be the job for you.  You’ll help us maintain our high quality standards and National Housing Federation 5* rating.
