Worthington Court

Sheltered housing in Newcastle upon Tyne

Worthington Court is a friendly sheltered housing scheme for the over-55s set in delightful secluded gardens in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The scheme consists of:

  • 14 one-bedroom flats
  • Three one-bedroom bungalows
  • One house
  • One guest room

Jesmond is an extremely popular place to live due to its vibrant cafes and restaurants, its close proximity to the city centre, and its fantastic transport links to the whole of the North East. Buses link the scheme to hospitals and doctors, as well as the coast, town and the Metro Centre. There is also a nearby Metro station and corner shop.

There are plenty of parks and woodland walks nearby, and the scheme itself is surrounded by beautiful mature trees that house an abundance of wildlife. Residents enjoy watching our squirrels and the wide variety of birds that visit the greenery every day, including woodpeckers and robins.

The grounds and properties are well-maintained and sensitively positioned to provide residents with privacy alongside the comfort, security and support provided by sheltered housing.

There is a part-time scheme support worker on site to provide housing management support and ensure scheme standards and compliance are maintained. 24-hour emergency support is also available from our central out of hours team, and each property is fitted with an alarm call system too.

Worthington Court consists of 18 properties:
