SaRBS is a new Support and Rent Bond Scheme which can help you to access private rented accommodation. You can get help with your deposit and get support to make sure you can manage your tenancy.
Support
What financial support will I receive?
We know that one of the hardest things when trying to access private rented accommodation is coming up with the deposit that Landlords require. SaRBS can provide that deposit for you.
This can either be through a damage bond, which means we guarantee to pay for any damage that should occur to the property during your tenancy, or through a cash deposit paid directly to the landlord.
Some Landlords require rent to be paid whilst you are waiting for your Housing Benefit to come through again SaRBS can help with this element of accessing the private rented sector.
There are limits to how much SaRBS can pay and you would have to have an agreement with SaRBS that you would act in a proper way, you would also agree to being supported in your tenancy from SaRBS.
