The circus, which forms part of Copeland Homes’ 5th Annual fun day will be held on Saturday 7th June 2008 in the Whitehaven Castle Park, from 11am - 4pm.

However, the Big Top will be host special performances and circus skills workshops, for free, on Friday 6th for the pupils of a number local schools.

Inside the big top

The Festival Circus features a host of circus skills -  amazing juggling, dazzling acrobatics and, of course, circus clowns.

As well as performances throughout the day there will also be workshops for the whole family to have fun while trying to learn circus skills.

Displays, stalls, bouncy castles, a climbing wall and food and drink stands will be available to keep all of the family entertained.

Caroline Durkin, Copeland Homes’ Resident Involvement Officer, said: “We’re so excited to be bringing the circus to town for our 5th annual fun day and we’ve been working together with Copeland Homes’ Residents Involvement Forum to make sure that the day will be a memorable one.”

Tickets for the circus cost £1 and are available from Copeland Homes in Catherine Street or Richardson’s at 21a Lowther Street, both in Whitehaven.

Tickets for the circus skills workshop are also £1 and are available on the day.
