Home is one of the leading nationwide providers of affordable and supported housing within the UK and the UK’s largest provider of care and support services to help vulnerable people take control of their lives. Home has a turnover in excess of £300m, owns and manages around 54,000 homes and provides care and support services to more than 20,000 people within c.600 projects across the UK each year. In the last financial year from April 2010 to March 2011 we carried out 180,000 repairs either directly by colleagues in Home or by contractors and collected £210m in rents.
Our values include openness and integrity. In terms of reporting on our performance we publish information in a number of ways with regular snippets in newsletters to clients, customers and colleagues and our annual review. We also publish quarterly information here on our website.
The performance report attached here is a short, visual summary of the 15 key performance areas that you tell us are important to you. For each one, the report shows:
- our performance at March 2010
- our performance at March 2011
- our performance during the course of the current financial year as at the end of June 2011, September 2011 and December 2011
- colour coding to show whether March 2011 was better than March 2010 (and it was in every case), whether we’ve improved further since March 2011 and whether we’ve reached yet the targets we’ve set to achieve by March 2012

Home Group Limited has decided to be the first in the UK Housing, Care and Development Sector to publish more information about its costs. Our customers and clients expect us to deliver value for money and we’re determined to be open and transparent about the way we spend as a social enterprise. Councils and many public bodies are now required to do this. We're happy to do so on a voluntary basis.
We'll update the information for each month on this page, every four weeks or so.
Where we think it is helpful to provide a short explanation of particular sums paid, you will see reference to a footnote within the attached chart.
Where a payment is subject to a contractual requirement for commercial confidentiality, the name of the creditor has been replaced with the words Redacted: Commercial Confidence.
And where information is classed as personal data, which by law we cannot publish under the Data Protection Act, we have stated Redacted: Personal Data.
