Building a community

Regeneration Officers at Rayners Lane have worked closely with local residents since building work began. There are now regular activities for residents to get involved in, such as computer training, mother and baby groups, even Salsa dancing! Housing Officers also ensure residents are supported on day to day issues, such as maintenance and help and advice with benefits.

Home is actively engaging local young people, both on and off the estate. Regular sports coaching is now available, and Home have teamed up with the International Football Association (IFA) who have links with Fulham Football Club youth team. This has resulted in a few young Rayners Lane Estate residents being selected to play in the youth squad.

Since 2003, we have run a Summer Fun Activities programme during the school holidays. This is managed by a local professional youth organisation who run a comprehensive programme of sports and leisure classes over half the estate’s young people took part in activities such as art and crafts, DJ workshops and dance classes.
