New neighbourhoods

Parking and transport

Local people told us they want good links with the local area and better transport facilities. We believe the proposed new road structure will help to make Dollis Valley part of the adjoining area, and provide additional capacity for the new homes.

There will be cycle routes through the estate and we are in discussions with Transport for London about how we can improve the bus service to Dollis Valley, hopefully extending the bus service within the development and alleviating peak traffic congestion at Mays Lane.

Open space and new facilities

We know that local residents do not want wasted open space. This is why we want to create private and well managed communal gardens for everyone to enjoy. The remaining open space will include local play areas for small children. The central boulevard will be a meeting place, flanked by new retail facilities; it will cater for a variety of different activities. We will also be providing a nearby community centre with a multi-purpose games area. We will talk to local residents about the type of facilities that they would like included.

Dollis Valley’s poor design and single vehicle access isolate it from the surrounding residential areas. We intend to change this and are consulting local residents about our exciting new proposals for the area. We hope to provide new roads linking Dollis Valley into the wider community; quality houses and flats on tree-lined streets in keeping with the neighbourhood; an ordered and pleasant environment with well-lit streets, parking in close proximity to homes and designated well planned open space. Our vision is for Dollis Valley to be a place where people want to live and where they are proud to be part of the community.
