How to pay your rent 

We have a number of ways in which you can pay for the charges associated with your home or garage.

 

Direct Debit

Direct Debit will ensure your payments are made regularly, as the payments are made direct from your bank/building society account.

If your charges change we will inform you, as well as your bank – saving you time.

To start using Direct Debit fill in the forms/information below and return to the address on the top of the form. Please remember to sign the form before sending it back to us.

You can contact your local office who will post a form out to you. If you’re not sure which form to use, please contact your local office and they will advise you.

Home’s preferred method of payment is Direct Debit.

Standing Order

You can instruct your bank to send us regular payments using a standing order.

When your charges change, we will inform you of the new charges, then you will need to inform your bank.

To start paying by standing order, please complete one of the forms below and send it to your bank/building society. If you’re not sure which form to use, please contact your local office and they will advise you.

Payment Card

Your payment card can be used when you pay at any outlet displaying the following logos:

Post Office Logo 

Cash, Cheque or debit card payments accepted. If paying by cheque, please make it payable to “Post Office Ltd”

Pay Point Logo

Cash payments only


Using your payment card is a convenient way to pay and you will not be charged to use this service.

Tell the cashier how much you want to pay. The card will then be passed through their till and handed back to you with a receipt for the payment made. You must make sure that you are given a receipt, keep this receipt safe as it is proof of your payment.  Your account will show this payment the day after you have paid.

Please note – staff at these outlets will not be able to help with information regarding your rent account.  If you have any questions about your rent account, please ask staff at your local office.

 

Internet

Log on to http://www.allpay.net

You will need your Home payment card and credit/debit card to use this service.

 

Telephone

Using your debit card call our voice response line on 0844 557 8321.
If you want to pay your rent by credit card you will need to call us on 0845 155 0387.

For both of these services, you must be the debit/credit card holder and you will need to have your Home payment card to hand.

 

Cheque/Postal Order

Please send your cheque/postal order to:

NE12 8ET.

Cheques/ postal orders should be made payable to “Home Group Ltd”.

Please write your name, address and tenancy reference on the back of all cheques/Postal Orders so that we can allocate your payment to your account.

 

Housing Benefit

If you are entitled to claim Housing Benefit, we encourage you to sign your claim forms to have this paid directly to us.

Your local office will be able to help you with any queries you may have regarding this.
