We believe that everyone has the right to enjoy living in their home safely and peacefully. Our good-neighbour guide clearly sets out your responsibilities as a tenant and ours as a landlord.
Your responsibilities include:
- paying your rent on time and where appropriate apply for benefits to cover the cost of your rent, our staff will be able to provide advice on this matter
- keeping the house and garden in good condition
- controlling your pets
- not causing noise or a nuisance to your neighbours.
You must also tell us if:
- you plan to make any alterations or improvements to your home
- anyone has moved in or out of your home
As your landlord, we will:
- provide a high standard of repair and maintenance on your home
- sort out any complaints
- tell you in advance about the yearly rent review
- tell you about any changes to your tenancy agreement
