Home Group Board
We are changing Home’s Board structure. In future there will be one main Board supported by a National Customer Panel and a National Client Panel.
At the moment we have a number of different boards with responsibility for different parts of our business. The boards have done a great job helping us become the organisation we are, but in order to achieve our vision for the future we now need to establish a more streamlined way of making decisions.
We are proposing to introduce a simplified board and committee structure, which would come into effect on 1 April 2010. The boards and committees of our subsidiary companies are not be affected by the proposals. This is for a number of reasons. Firstly, a separate housing system operates in Scotland, and therefore Home Scotland, will continue to operate under its present board and committee structure. Secondly, Live Smart@ Home and Home Group Developments Limited are both non-charitable companies which undertake commercial activity that Home, as a charity, cannot take forward.
We want to recruit one Home Customer and one Stonham Client to become members of the Home Group Board.
