The Executive team is appointed by the Home Board and is the management team for Home as a whole. It is responsible for driving forward Home's business and engaging in strategic issues. It makes recommendations to the Home board in those areas the board reserves to itself and individual executive directors have specific functional roles and accountability.

Before joining Home, Mark was a County Council Chief Executive and, prior to that, was Operations Director for regional development agency One North East.
Richard Beattie
Executive Director, Shared Business Services – Appointed October 2009
“I have a background in implementing business improvement programmes, having spent a number of years consulting with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young. More recently I was responsible for procurement and shared business services in Cadbury, and developed key supplier relationships to support the expansion of manufacturing across Europe. Immediately prior to joining Home I led the implementation of a significant services contract with Johnson Controls, worth £30m in the UK. I will bring a strong commercial perspective to Home and will be heading up our Shared Business Services, comprising of legal, technology, programme management, quality, procurement and supplier performance.”
Rachael Byrne

Rachael has 25 years experience in supported housing, beginning as a night project worker and working right the way through to Executive Director. She has a great understanding of what it takes to support clients at all levels.
Joe Docherty

“My background is in regeneration and before joining Home I was a Director in Barclays Bank, Corporate Banking and more recently Chief Executive of Tees Valley Regeneration. I oversaw the largest urban regeneration company in the UK, covering the five local authorities of the Tees Valley, securing over £1billion of new development. I am now responsible for all Home regeneration programmes across the UK, plus sales, development, joint ventures, new business and asset management.”
Rosemary Du Rose

Alan Park
Executive Director, Finance – Appointed April 2009
“My role is multi-purpose – on one hand, I ensure that the financial implications of our activities are clear so that we can ensure our future financial budgets and forecasts reflect the position properly. The other part of my role is to contribute to the overall strategic direction as a member of the Executive.”
Alan qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young, and has worked for ICI, Pubmaster, the NHS and West of Scotland Water.

Peter has over 30 years experience working with a wide range of housing and social care organisations.
